Registration for Neuroscience 2026 opens online in July 2026. Registration and housing tiers unlock in waves at noon EDT based on individual membership status. Signing up during the advance window ensures lower pricing and early access to hotel accommodations near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
Key Registration Timeline (2026)
- July 14: Bonus Day — Exclusive early access for members who renewed by April 1, 2026.
- July 15: Advance Member Registration — Opens for all current SfN members.
- July 21: Advance Nonmember Registration — Opens for general public attendees.
- July 22: Press Registration — Opens for credentialed media members.
- July 28: Exhibitor Registration — Opens for commercial vendors and sponsors.
- October 5: Advance Registration Closes — Last day to register before regular/on-site rates apply.
- October 6: Regular Registration Pricing Begins — Continues through the duration of the annual meeting.
Formats & Pricing Tiers
SfN structures its fees across two formats to accommodate global scientific attendance:
- In-Person and Virtual: Full physical access to the convention center in Washington, D.C., covering all poster sessions, lectures, and exhibit halls.
- Virtual Only: Grants digital access to live-streamed featured lectures and digital virtual posters. Virtual component registration fees are priced at 35% of the cost of full in-person registration.
- Reduced Rates: Discounted tiers are available for Graduate/Undergraduate student members, postdocs, and scientists residing in Category I, II, or III developing countries.
Important Registration Notes
- Abstract Presenters: All accepted regular and late-breaking abstract presenters must register for the conference to secure their presentation slot.
- On-Site Badge Pick-Up: Registered attendees can pick up their physical badges starting Friday, November 13, at 2 p.m. EST, and throughout the conference days.
